What is the total amount?

(1) + (2) + (3)

Total amount

The total rental amount is the sum of the rental car rate, High season charge(1), Winter season charge(2), and CDW(3).

NOC(4) will be charged if the vehicle needs to be repaired or cleaned during the rental period due to accidents, theft, breakdowns, stains, vehicle maintenance damage, burn marks on seats, etc. that are not the fault of the Company.

In addition, if the scheduled rental time is exceeded without prior notice, a prescribed penalty fee will be charged.

(1) High season charge

If the departure date falls within the applicable period, high season rates will apply.

During the winter period, a winter season charge will be applied if you rent a car with studless tires.

If you join the voluntary liability compensation system, you will be exempt from paying the deductible amount per accident.

Insurance

Insurance is included in the rental car rate. However, when insurance is used, a portion of the cost will be borne by the customer (CDW/NOC).

Insurance coverage

Please note that insurance and compensation programs may not apply. In the event of an accident caused by willful misconduct, gross negligence, or violation of laws and regulations, separate fees will be charged.

Step-by-step guide to using Guts Rent-A-Car

STEP01

Verification of driver's license or passport

Please confirm in advance that your international driver's license, passport, and credit card issued in accordance with the Geneva Conventions are valid for the duration of the rental period. For some areas, a driver's license and Japanese translation from the relevant country are required.
STEP02

Online car rental reservations

On the reservation page, select and enter the date and time of use, store, class (car type), customer information, and payment information to complete the reservation.

Visit our store and sign a contract

Please be sure to arrive by your scheduled appointment time with your international driver's license, passport, and credit card issued in accordance with the Geneva Conventions. In some areas, a driver's license from the relevant country and a Japanese translation are required. If you are going to be late for your appointment, please be sure to contact the restaurant in advance.

If you are one hour over the reserved time without prior notice, your reservation will be treated as “cancelled” and you will be charged a cancellation fee. Please understand this in advance.

Please fill up the tank at a gas station near the rental store before returning the car. If there are any overage charges, please settle them upon your return.
